Newcastle are being linked with a move for Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips ahead of this summer.

Phillips has been heavily linked with a move to Aston Villa, but he is now said to have become a target of the Magpies.

According to MailOnline, Newcastle are willing to give Phillips a huge pay rise, with an offer of £125,000 per week suggested.

Osimhen blow

The Magpies have also been linked with a move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen over recent weeks, but it seems any hope of a move could be dashed.

That’s because Corriere dello Sport via Football Italia are reporting that Napoli have upped their asking price to around £100million after learning of interest from Manchester United.

Meanwhile, TuttoMercato are saying that the striker will base any decision on his future on winning, and Newcastle are not in that position just yet.
