Newcastle United favourite marks major milestone out in the city

Bruno Guimaraes celebrated his partner’s first Mother’s Day since the birth of their son Matteo six months ago out in Newcastle.

However fear not panicked children! For some unknown reason, the UK and rest of the world have separate dates for the occassion.

The Brazilian spent the day with family at Victor’s on the Quayside, posing all loved up alongside his wife and son.

The couple were officially married by proxy in Brazil last week ahead of their wedding this summer, represented by family, lawyers and carboard cutouts of their faces.

Posting to Instagram, the midfielder said: ‘Our first mothers day of many to come!! Too blessed to complain about anything Thank God for my family Proud of what we are building and proud of you @analidiamartinss.

‘I love you and thank you for being this mommy to Matteo.’

Newcastle United co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi also shared his love for the Guimaraes family, commenting underneath the post with a series of hearts.
