Football Insider reports that Newcastle United scouts were in attendance at the Estadio Jose Alvalade and were blown away by Diallo's prowess, which has turned the heads of some of the continent's biggest clubs this season. The player helped the Senegal side get the better of a Brazilian side packed with Premier League talent including Spurs man Richarlison, Manchester City shot-stopper Ederson and West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta, as well as Magpies duo Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes.
The striker currently plays at Strasbourg, where he netted 20 goals over an incredibly impressive Ligue 1 campaign last term, almost single-handedly steering the club away from relegation.

Newcastle United seem to be the highest-flying club looking at for Diallo, with West Ham, Burnley and Brentford the others touted to be readying a move for the goal machine.
The striker, who can also be fielded on the right wing, has another two years still left on his Strasbourg contract after signing from fellow French side Metz in 2020.

Hide AdEddie Howe seemed to be prioritising a move for a central midfielder with the imminent arrival of Sandro Tonali, and then moving on to sourcing a back-up centre-back with links to Joachin Andersen at Crystal Palace and Robin Koch at Leeds United.
The Magpies boss already has a conundrum as to who to field up top for his Newcastle side with both Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson impressing. The addition of Diallo could provide further headaches, but a busy fixture schedule next season would give three forwards still plenty of game time to share.
