Newcastle United are the Premier League’s form team right now - and it’s got some fans dreaming of what the future might hold.

Add in impressive performances from the likes of Dan Burn, Martin Dubravka, the ever-reliable Lewis Hall, Bruno Guimaraes, Jacob Murphy and Anthony Gordon and the Magpies have been purring of late.

And, it seems, it’s got plenty in dreamland, with some even having half an eye for top of the pile Liverpool, although they do sit a considerable nine points ahead with a game in hand.
Put simply, it would take a monumental wobble from Arne Slot’s men - who’ve dropped just 13 points all season - to leave the door open to anyone, never mind Newcastle.
But Newcastle’s form has got people talking, no more so than club legend Alan Shearer.

To which, pundit Micah Richards chirps in while pointing at Shearer: "You were saying earlier they were."
The questions sparked an ear-to-ear smile from the former Newcastle and England captain.
Chapman then expands. He said: "The thing is Liverpool have dropped points and Newcastle aren't dropping points. At the moment, is the gap too much?"
Shearer responds: "Errrr, no it's not. No."
