Newcastle gave goalkeeper Karl Darlow the green light to head out the exit door in the January transfer window to get some game time under his belt and Hull City won the race for his signature. He has since been a hit in East Yorkshire and has made the number one spot his own at the MKM Stadium under Liam Rosenior.

As detailed in a report by Hull Live, he is a ‘top target’ for the Tigers ahead of the summer and they are ‘keen’ to push through a permanent deal. The 32-year-old joined the Magpies from Nottingham Forest back in 2014 and has since made 100 appearances for his parent club in all competitions to date.

Winger linked

Newcastle are being linked with a swoop for Barcelona winger Ansu Fati along with league rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves. According to Spanish news outlet Sport (via Sport Witness), Howe is ‘interested’ in luring the 20-year-old over to England at the end of this campaign.

The Spain international, who has seven caps under his belt so far, has been on the books at Barcelona since 2012 having previously had a spell in the academy at Sevilla. He made his debut in 2019 and has since scored 26 goals in 103 matches for the La Liga giants.
