Newcastle United co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi will rave alongside Magpies fans at St. James' Park before the kick-off against Southampton tonight.

Yes, you read that correctly. The PCP Capital Partners businessman seems to be just as excited as any other Newcastle fan to have Schak performing at the stadium before the cup semi-final.

The North Shields DJ has had a stratospheric rise in recent months and is a Magpies fan through and through. To help build the atmosphere for what will be the club's biggest match in decades with a place at Wembley at stake, Schak will perform a 10-minute set pitchside at 7:30 pm.

Famous for his 'guerilla raves' that get football fans 'jumpin', bumpin' and movin' all around', it's set to be a rip-roaring precursor to the Carabao Cup game.

Newcastle co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi replied to a Tweet shared by Schak on Twitter, promising to get involved in the party before the match. He wrote: "I made sure I wouldn’t miss any more of your impromptu sets."

The DJ replied that he "can't wait" to see the co-owner's moves whilst Newcastle fans joked that Mehdrad himself might fancy getting "behind the decks" and named him "MC Mehrdad".

Schak labelled the opportunity to perform at the cathedral on the hill as "the biggest announcement of me career".

In an emotional video shared on Twitter, he said: "I've got some massive, massive news. I'm over the moon to announce that tomorrow I am playing the semi-final for Newcastle vs Southampton at St. James' Park.

"I'm trying to find the words to describe how much this means to us. This is an honour. Thanks so much to Newcastle United, Mehrdad Ghodoussi for reaching out to us and inviting us to do this. This is a childhood dream come true. I'll see everyone tomorrow. I can't wait, I'm buzzing."
