Newcastle United star Alexander Isak appears on the cover of EA FC 2024 Ultimate Edition alongside Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur legends.

The Magpies striker is a somewhat surprise inclusion on the famous game's cover and is included as a nod to his impact on the Premier League since arriving on Tyneside last summer.

Isak joined Eddie Howe's Newcastle United project for a club-record £63 million and hit the ground running, immediately challenging talisman Callum Wilson for a starting berth over the run-in.

The Swede netted 10 Premier League goals in 22 appearances, including a brace in April's famous 6-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur and a debut goal in the last-gasp 2-1 loss against Anfield in August.

Isak beats fellow Magpies stars Kieran Trippier, Bruno Guimaraes, Callum Wilson and Nick Pope to claim his place on the EA FC 2024 Ultimate Team Edition cover, despite those Newcastle United stars also enjoying acclaimed campaigns last time out.

Also on the cover are Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk, Spurs midfielder Son Heung-Min, Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, Arsenal man Bukayo Saska and, unsurprisingly, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is front and centre.

There's also space for legends in Pele, Zinedine Zidane, Didier Drogba and David Beckham. Meanwhile, Women's Football stars Sam Kerr, Leah Williamson and Selma Bacha are just some of those included.

EA FC 24 is the first instalment of EA Sports' new football game series which replaced the longstanding FIFA games. EA Sports ended its 30-year partnership with FIFA last year.

Many aspects of the game are still under wraps but it has been confirmed there will be at least two versions of the game thanks to this new Ultimate Edition cover. It's also the first time Paris Saint-Germain and France star Kylian Mbappe is not on the cover since FIFA 20.

Some leaks earlier this year claimed that women's players and women's icons would be added to the Ultimate Game experience for an all-inclusive mode, which this new cover seems to confirm.
