Newcastle United’s Premier League run-in compared with top-four rivals Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool

Newcastle United may be just out of the top four for now but two games in hand and a chance to go above Man Utd this weekend makes it all to play for.

With 12 games left to play, Champions League football next season is in the hands of Newcastle United.

The Magpies sit fifth in the Premier League, three points from Tottenham Hotspur in fourth, but also have two games in hand on the London club.

Should Newcastle win both of those two fixtures, Eddie Howe's side would slingshot into third with 53 points - although Manchester United in third also have two fixtures in their pocket.

Back-to-back wins against Nottingham Forest and Wolves before the international break is cause for Newcastle optimism going into the next run of fixtures that starts with the visit of Manchester United on Sunday.

It's still all to play for going into the final stretch of the Premier League season with clubs including 10th-placed Chelsea and sixth-placed Liverpool also hoping to mount a late charge for the top four.

Here's how the fixtures of all Champions League contenders compare ahead of the Premier League resumption.
