‘Stole his heart’ - Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United transfer joke amid cheeky Wikipedia change
and live on Freeview channel 276
Newcastle United have been linked to an inordinate number of players since before the transfer window even opened but now all eyes seem firmly focused on AC Milan star Sandro Tonali.
And rightly so. Representatives of Sandro Tonali have landed in the United Kingdom - less than 12 hours after Newcastle United’s bid for the AC Milan midfielder was made public and now a photo has been shared of Tonali’s agent at lunch with AC Milan managing director Giorgio Furlani and his right-hand man Geoffrey Moncada.

Just last week when United were linked to Inter Milan’s Nicolo Barella, Toon supporters took it upon themselves to prematurely update the midfielder’s Wikipedia so that Newcastle were listed as his ‘current club.’ But as talks with Barella seem to have cooled off, the Magpies’ attention is focused on Tonali.

How can I tell? Because Newcastle fans have changed his Wikipedia as well.

‘Tonali’s favourite item on Gregg’s menu is a steak bake.’
On a separate occasion, his personal bio read: ‘Runs across the Tyne bridge every match day with wor flags.’
Let’s hope the Geordie excitement isn’t misplaced and Newcastle can secure a transfer for the Italian. Journalists and insiders seem confident. But I reckon, Tonali is much more of a sausage roll guy.
