Newcastle United could be on for a very successful transfer window if their recent links are anything to go by. Eddie Howe and his team are still riding the wave of their Champions League qualification and they will be determined to make sure that last season wasn’t a one-off.

Thanks to their fourth-place finish in the Premier League, Tyneside is now a very attractive destination and the Magpies find themselves in the running for several household names. Here’s a look at nine players who Newcastle are most likely to sign this summer, according to the latest bookmaker odds:

Kalvin Phillips 12/1

After a far from ideal start to life in Manchester, the former Leeds United man is set to leave City this summer in pursuit of more regular minutes. West Ham are tipped to be the favourites to sign Kalvin Phillips as they seek replacements for Declan Rice, but Newcastle are also up there in second to strike a deal.

Denzel Dumfries 9/1

Talks surrounding the future of Denzel Dumfries have gone a little quiet lately but bookies still have Newcastle down as the second favourites to snap him up from Inter. Manchester United are just ahead of them at 6/1.

Cristiano Ronaldo 7/1

An unlikely one but still very much out there, nonetheless. Apparently there’s a 7/1 chance of Cristiano Ronaldo joining Newcastle this summer, which are the highest odds out of the list including PSG, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and even Real Madrid.

Raphinha 6/1

Raphinha’s future is unclear at the moment as plenty of clubs are in the running for him, despite him only joining Barcelona from Leeds United last summer. While he appears to be happy where he is, the rumours keep on coming and Newcastle are current favourites to sign him.

Conor Gallagher 4/1

Conor Gallagher is receiving a lot of interest right now, and while Brighton and Hove Albion are in pole position to sign him, Newcastle are up there to snag a deal as well. West Ham are also in at 4/1 to snap up the Chelsea talent.

Sadio Mané 3/1

Despite joining Bayern Munich just last summer, the former Liverpool icon has already been linked with a move away this window. Unsurprisingly, Saudi Arabia is listed as a potential destination but Newcastle’s odds are the highest when it comes to predicting the next club for Sadio Mané.

Scott McTominay 7/4

Scott McTominay has been put up for sale by Manchester United as the Reds look to bring in a fleet of new recruits. Newcastle have been targeting the Scotland international for a while now and are firm favourites to snap him up this summer.

Nicolò Barella 5/2

The most likely Newcastle transfer based on bookies’ odds is Nicolò Barella, who is also on the radar of Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea. Despite the heavy competition, the latest updates suggest it will be Howe who gets his man this summer as the Magpies continue to go from strength to strength.
