‘They should…’ - Crystal Palace told to make Newcastle United suffer as transfer saga continues

Micah Richards has urged Crystal Palace to squeeze “as much as they can” from Newcastle United for Marc Guehi.
Toon chiefs have failed four times in recent days to sign the England international. The Daily Mail reported that the final offer was around £65million including add-ons - a fee that would make Guehi the club’s record signing.

Less than two weeks of the window remain for the Magpies to strike a deal, with Fabian Schar’s red card on Saturday amplifying the need to strengthen the defence. As for Guehi, he played for and captained Palace as they lost 2-1 to Brentford.
Former Manchester City, Aston Villa and England full-back Richards has told Eagles chiefs to rinse Newcastle’s dry. This comes after Guehi impressed alongside John Stones for the Three Lions at Euro 2024.
“It’s going to be difficult to replace him,” he said. “I think there have been talks about £65million. I think Palace should hold out for as much (money) as they can.
