Harvey Barnes was at Newcastle United’s training ground this afternoon as his £38million move from Leicester City edges closer.
The 25-year-old was at St James’ Park earlier this morning before making the short journey to the club’s newly-refurbished North Tyneside training centre.

Hide AdBarnes arrived at around lunchtime and spent several hours inside, where he held talks with sporting director Dan Ashworth and underwent his medical.

The one-time England international is set to link up with his new teammates in the United States once the transfer is officially completed.
Barnes’ imminent arrival is set to coincide with the departure of winger Allan Saint-Maximin, who is close to joining Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli.

Hide AdMagpies head coach Eddie Howe said he wanted to keep the Frenchman but Financial Fair Play means he has to trade in order to maximise his summer transfer budget.
The sale of Saint-Maximin will go towards signing Barnes and possibly fund further deals.
