It will undoubtedly be a summer of change at Newcastle United as Eddie Howe looks to continue the development of the Magpies squad.
With relegation fears lingering in the air, the United hierarchy released a significant financial outlay during the January transfer window.
The additions of Kieran Trippier, Dan Burn, Matt Targett, Bruno Guimaraes and Chris Wood played a key role in helping Howe’s side move away from the relegation zone and to within sight of a remarkable top-ten finish.
The final run-in gets underway with Sunday’s visit to title-chasing Manchester City as a number of players will get a chance to firmly establish themselves in Howe’s thoughts for next season.
But a number of the United squad are reaching precarious moments in their time on Tyneside, with two players out of contract at the end of the season and a further eight entering the final 12 months of their current deals this summer.
