Geordie legends Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have praised an ‘amazing’ upcoming festival in the North East.

Newcastle is set to taste the festival scene with LooseFest, which boasts a hefty lineup, featuring the likes of Black Eyed Peas, Mabel and Andy Whitby.

The Saturday Night Takeaway and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! hosts took to Instagram to share news of the Newcastle-based festival.

Sharing the impressive lineup to their Instagram story, the pair wrote: “A Toon-based festival. This looks amazing!”

LooseFest, which is set to feature more than 80 artists across five stages over one weekend is set to take Newcastle by storm between Saturday July 30 and Sunday July 31.

Saturday’s entertainment will see a headlining performance from Black Eyed Peas as well as setlists from Example, Paul Woolford and Jess Bays.

Sunday will see Swedish pop sensation Mabel guest at the Open Air arena, where AJ Tracey, Disciples and Jonas Blue are set to perform.

The hefty mixture of artists and the impressive collection of venues will form a Newcastle festival like no other.

Simon Sykes, a founding member of the LooseFest team, said: “The LooseFest team have a wide span of festival, event and food experience and this year’s music festival will be our biggest to date.

“A range of day and weekend tickets are now available, along with VIP and corporate hospitality options - there’s something for everyone.”

LooseFest is set to feature 80+ artists across their five all-weather stages, with a carnival funfair and street food village promoted.
