It has been announced that Geordie Shore: The Reunion Series will return after the success of the last series, which aired on MTV between September and November last year.

The show saw cast members from across all 22 series reunite over the course of the series, for a party, a holiday to Portugal, Charlotte Crosby’s baby shower, Holly Hagan-Blyth’s wedding and more.

Now, it has been announced that the special series will return once again, providing viewers with a further insight into the cast members’ lives, and how they have grown since first appearing on the show.

However, it was reported by The Sun that one cast member who was a huge focus in the previous series will not be returning. 25-year-old Abbie Holborn from Stockton-on-Tees, has been axed from Geordie Shore for the second time.

Fan favourite Abbie, joined the show back in 2016 for series 14 and remained as part of the cast until series 17 when she was axed. Abbie did however, return again for the reunion special alongside Charlotte Crosby, Chloe Ferry, Marnie Simpson, Nathan Henry, Bethan Kershaw and many others from across the run of the show.

A source told The Sun that Abbie had not been asked to return. They said: “All the cast from the reunion series have been asked to come back for another run, apart from Abbie. She hasn’t heard from the producers and is pretty gutted.”

Abbie is yet to make a comment on her departure from the show.
