DJ and ex Geordie Shore star Joel Corry has picked his Love Island winner after visiting the villa, and invited the competitor to come and party in Ibiza.

The hit-maker behind tracks such as 'Head & Heart' and 'OUT OUT' appeared on the show last month and put on a party for the Islanders.

Corry was back on Tyneside last weekend at LooseFest, where he was due to play a set at the festival before it was cancelled due to "technical errors" from festival organisers.

Speaking to NewcastleWorld backstage at LooseFest 2022, the producer picked his favourite Love Island cast member.

He said: "I haven't been watching it that much, but I've seen all the clips on my Instagram and my sister has been filling me as she's a big fan.

"All the clips of Davide just crack me up. Apparently he was like, 'I don't know who Joel Corry is', so big up Davide. Hopefully, he can come over to Ibiza when it's finished!"

The winner of the hit ITV2 show will be announced tonight, with Davide favourite to take home the crown alongside Ekin-Su.

Corry relished his chance to appear on the reality show, saying it was a no-brainer decision to accept an invite from producers.

He said: "It was great, they called me up and said can I come over and play some tunes at the pool party. I said, of course!

"I was straight on the plane to Mallorca and it was the first time they'd had any live music or tunes played for a while so they were raring to go and wanted to get on the dancefloor and bust some shapes.

"They had a wicked time, it was good vibes and I was happy to do it. It was really nice to meet all the production team and everyone working on the show, it was a really cool experience."
