Newcastle Love Island star Amber Gill joined the reality show's viewers in making the same comment about the Geordie mate who surprised Adam Collard on Sunday evening's episode.

Last night the Love Island 2022 contestants were treated to visits from family and friends in preparation for the grand final today.

Returning Newcastle contestant Adam Collard was visited by his father and a friend - with the latter getting many on social media saying the same thing.

Amber Gill was one of many who were quick to comment on Adam's buddy's super strong accent.

The 24-year-old wrote: "Adam’s mate is a pure radgie. Geordie accent is wild #loveisland I love it."

Adam's friend Micky Seers praised the gym-owner's connection with fellow contestant Paige Thorne with the two seeming "really well suited".

He also spotted Amber's Tweet about him and replied: "Hahahaha class this cheers Amber."

Fans of the show took to social media on Sunday as Micky and Adam chatted, all commenting on the accents.

One person wrote: "Too many geordie men talking right now heads gonna explode."

Another said: "I'm just here for the Geordie accent."

Others commented "blurgh these Geordie accents" and "I loveeee the Newcastle accent".

Unfortunately, Paige's parents didn't seem so convinced by their daughter's choice of man - her mother admitted she wasn't "buying it".

The two were then booted off the show by the public, after being put at risk by fellow Islanders for being one of the 'least compatible'.

It means the Newcastle contestant, who returned to the show after his controversy-ridden first stint in 2018, won't be in with a chance of winning the £50,000 in Monday night's final.

Instead, it will be between Ekin-Su and Davide Sanclimenti, Gemma Owen and Luca Bish, Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope and Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page.

The Love Island final airs tonight at 9 pm on ITV2.
