From their cheeky grins to iconic banter, there's a lot to love about Geordie duo Ant & Dec.

The Newcastle pair have a huge following in the North East and you'd be forgiven for thinking their most dedicated fan must be living amongst the streets of Tyneside.

However, 23-year-old Heidi-Jade from Northampton could well give any Ant & Dec aficionado a run for their money when it comes to a love for the pair.

From hand-crafted memrobilia to trips to Saturday Night Takeaway and more, Heidi-Jade tells NewcastleWorld what it's like being an Ant & Dec super fan.

Q: So, Heidi-Jade, where did it all begin - what are your first memories of Ant & Dec?

A: I remember watching Ant and Dec on Britain’s Got Talent for as long as I can remember thinking they were funny and immediately loving them. I used to ask if anyone I knew was talented and would audition so I could stand in the wings with Ant and Dec!

Little did I know, I have actually loved Ant and Dec since really young as I loved Engie Benjy as a young child. In secondary school I discovered Ant and Dec Saturday Night Takeaway and from the first time watching I was hooked, I got so super excited every Saturday hoping one day they would come and surprise me.

Q: Have you ever met the boys? What was that like?

A: I’ve briefly caught them on red carpets and snapped a quick selfie, my heart pounding 10 to the dozen out of my chest completely starstruck and smiling for hours after. However, I have never really spoken with them.

It would be an absolute dream come true for me to properly meet Ant and Dec, they mean a lot to me, they are my idols and have got me smiling and laughing again when I thought it was impossible during some difficult times in my life.

Q: Ant and Dec do so many great shows. Do you have a favourite?

A: Ant and Dec do so many fantastic shows and I love all of them, however my favourite TV show of all time is Saturday Night Takeaway. The pure super excitement I get watching it is unreal and I get so involved - my family say I’m like a child at Christmas when this show is on.

The year they did the poster competition for a place on the plane I got completely involved and decorated every window facing the road in the house with different displays. I even sat in the Beast of the East snowstorm back in 2018 for nine hours to get into the audience of Saturday Night Takeaway, then got front-row seats and was so excited I thought I was gonna pass out! I’ve been in the audience of Saturday Night Takeaway a few times now and I get so excitable and loud it’s unbelievable - I’ve even been called troublemaker in the corner by Dec in the 2022 series.

Q: You've got some great pieces of clothing dedicated to the duo, haven't you?

A: I have lots of Ant and Dec merchandise - my Ant and Dec dresses I designed with memories of shows I’ve been in the audience of and selfies with Ant and Dec!

I also have an Ant and Dec jacket and an Ant, Dec and Stephen Mulhern jacket which I also designed and then asked a company to print. My favourite merchandise of my designed items would be my dresses because it brings back a range of happy memories.

I also really love the Ant, Dec and Stephen Mulhern jacket because in October 2022 during Britain's Got Talent: Ultimate Magician, Stephen heard about my jacket and asked me onto the stage and then wore it - every time I look at the jacket it brings tears to my eyes as it reminds me of such an exciting and unbelievable moment.

Q: Amazing! So, with Christmas coming up, what would your festive message to Ant and Dec be?
