Viral North Shields woman who got stuck behind booth at bottomless brunch appears on This Morning

A North Shields woman who went viral after getting stuck down a setee at Twelve 25 has spoken about the fracas on national television.

Lindsay Clark was enjoying a bottomless brunch at the Fish Quay venue when it suddenly took an unexpected twist.

As she prepared to leave, Lindsay reached behind the booth to retrieve a friend's coat, but couldn't pull herself back up.

The Geordie soon realised she was stuck and the debacle to pull her out that followed has had the nation laughing.

Lindsay appeared on BBC Breakfast and This Morning on Thursday, April 21 to share her story.

Speaking to Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on ITV, Lindsay said: "It was my friend Julie's birthday and we were having bottomless brunch.

"Bottomless brunch was over and my friend's coat dropped behind the setee... then I fell behind the setee. I got wedged in."

A chuckling Philip replied: "Thank god you weren't wearing a dress and a thong!"

Lindsay replied: "Yes, thank god! Thank god for the jumpsuit.

"The two boys from Twelve 25 helped me out, as you can see none of my friends helped at all."

At one point the group thought they might need to get the fire and rescue service involved, but that motivated Lindsay to manage the final push to get herself out of the situation.

She said: "I said to the two lads, get us out now.

"I couldn't have that [a 999 call], I'd have been mortified, it would have been even more embarrassing.

"It's mental. I didn't realise it was that funny, I'm happy it went viral if people think it's funny!

"This is my dream speaking to yous two."

Holly Willoughby replied: "We absolutely love you. Thank you for making us all laugh this morning."
