Newcastle United fans will be hoping an official transfer announcement from the club is imminent as rumours connecting the Magpies with moves for well-known stars continue.
Eddie Howe is known to be in the market for a central midfielder and a full-back but has ruled out any three-figure splurges ahead of a return to Champions League football.

Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips has been urged to consider a move to Newcastle United by former pro Kieran Gibbs.
The 27-year-old was part of the treble-winning side at the Etihad last season but struggled to make an impact after a £42 million move from Leeds United last summer.
Earlier this month The Telegraph claimed that Eddie Howe's side had been looking at Phillips in their search for a central midfielder and, should the Magpies come calling, Gibbs thinks Phillips should make the switch.
He told ESPN: “I don’t think he has been given an adequate amount of chances to prove himself at that level. I do think he is a high-quality player.

“How are you going to get in a team of Rodri, de Bruyne and Gundogan? We are talking about an insane level of midfield there. It’s been tough for him.
“I do think he needs a refresh. I think Newcastle is a good shout for him. I would like to see him there. I think it’s a shame for Kalvin. He has nicked a Treble, by the way, so I am not sure he will be complaining that much.”
Newcastle United interest in promising West Brom shot-stopper
Newcastle United are weighing up a move for promising West Brom keeper and England under-21 international Josh Griffiths.
One for the future, the goalkeeper made his way up through the youth system at The Hawthorns and made his first team debut in February following loan stints at Cheltenham Town, Lincoln City and Portsmouth.
Football League World report that Dan Ashworth is a huge fan of the young Englishman and may want to invest early before sending Griffiths back out on loan.
