The agent of Genoa defender Radu Dragusin claims to have held talks with Newcastle United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Dragusin, a Romanian international, left Juventus last year and during his first season with Genoa achieved automatic promotion from Serie B.

The 21-year-old has maintained his impressive form in Italy's top-flight and according to his agent Florin Manea, approaches have arrived from the Premier League.

Reports in Italy have suggested Dragusin is close to signing a contract extension but Manea has hinted that might not prevent him from leaving next summer - if a £26million bid is tabled.

"I have been in London for some time and have almost weekly meetings with important teams," Manea told Romanian outlet Fanatik.

"We are getting closer. I spoke with Newcastle, with Arsenal, with Tottenham. I also have messages with them, conversations. There are teams that ask [about Dragusin].

"I want to say that 100% by next summer, Radu will play in a not strong, very strong club! In the top 10 in the world. He wants to be in the Premier League, but know that Milan like him a lot.

"They must first come to terms with Genoa, that their claims are very high.

"We have a contract extension offer on the table. We understood each other, but we said that if a club comes, which, if we like it, we want to leave and leave us for around 30 million euros."

The player himself also addressed his future earlier this month.

Dragusin said: “I’m fine, I feel in very good shape. I am going through a moment that can only make me happy. I will not leave Genoa, we are in discussions for a new contract, but these things are secondary.

“It is important to have results and to have as easy a championship as possible. It’s a very pleasant feeling. It means that your work is also appreciated by the rest. My focus is to develop and evolve as best I can.”
