Lewis Hall reveals Newcastle United dressing room view on Matthias Jaissle after summer 'negativity'
Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall is enjoying life under new head coach Matthias Jaissle - and so are his teammates,
Lewis Hall has heaped praise on new boss Matthias Jaissle after shutting out the negativity at Newcastle United.
The Magpies sold Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes, while also parting ways with head coach Eddie Howe, in a major squad and staff overhaul that saw Jaissle appointed and eight new signings - aged 24 or under - arrive.
A significant summer of change at St James’ Park has seen Jaissle’s side heavily tipped to struggle, however they continued to silence those doubters on Tuesday night as a 1-0 win at Millwall secured their place in the last 16 of the Carabao Cup.
It continued Newcastle’s unbeaten start to the campaign, having beaten Tottenham Hotspur and drawn against Liverpool and Bournemouth in the Premier League, and Hall believes Jaissle has played a major part in changing the mood around the club.

"There was a lot of negativity before everything happened and as soon as the gaffer came in, he's been top, as well as all of the coaching staff,” Hall said. “The way he's got us playing is amazing and I can speak on behalf of everyone - we're really enjoying playing under him.
"We knew it was going to be tough. Whenever you come away in the cup, anything can happen, so we're really proud of the win and to keep a clean sheet as well."
Hall is set for a key role under Jaissle, starting all five of his matches in charge so far. Newcastle are set to tie the left-back down to a new long-term contract following summer links to Manchester United.
