Newcastle United are on cloud nine after a superb performance and win over Tottenham on Sunday.
Eddie Howe’s men took a giant step towards Champions League football with a 6-1 thrashing of Spurs at St James’ Park. But the job is not done just yet, with Newcastle back in action as soon as Thursday night. The Magpies face relegation-battling Everton on Thursday night, and they then turn attention to facing Southampton on Sunday as the games begin to pile up.

In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news surrounding St James’ Park.
Summerville interest
Newcastle are said to be interested in snapping up Leeds United star Crysensio Summerville should the Whites go down.
According to Football Insider, the 21-year-old is already commanding attention after an impressive first season at Elland Road, with German giants Borussia Dortmund also reportedly interested. The report claims Newcastle are interested as they look to add depth to their attacking department ahead of a European season next term.
Though, the key to any transfer involving Summerville would likely be Leeds being relegated, with the Yorkshire club very unlikely to sell should they manage to stay up.

Elsewhere, the Magpies are said to be involved in the race to sign Celta Vigo star Gabri Veiga.
Veiga has been heavily linked with a move away from Galicia this summer, and it’s claimed by the Daily Mail that Arsenal and Real Madrid are also interested in the attacking midfielder, who has a £35million release clause. It’s no secret the Magpies want to add an attacking midfielder this summer, with James Maddison linked.
Veiga could be of interest, but there are a whole host of clubs interested, with Manchester City also said to be in the frame heading into this summer. Crucially, unlike Maddison, the 20-year-old has a release clause, meaning he is gettable.
