Aladji Bamba transfer truth at Newcastle United as January decision already made

Newcastle United signed Aladji Bamba from Monaco for £30million in the summer transfer window.

Newcastle United will reportedly not consider loaning Aladji Bamba out in January.

Signed for £30million in the summer, the Frenchman has played just 27 minutes this season. Bamba - a box-to-box midfielder - has been an unused substitute for most of the campaign.

He arrived on Tyneside after a breakout season at Monaco, with 25 first-team appearances. Newcastle fans have questioned why Matthias Jaissle has not given Bamba a chance given the downturn in form.

However, patience is being urged due to his lack of experience. The 20-year-old is yet to complete an entire 90 minutes in senior football.

Bamba is biding his time as he continues to adjust to the rigours of English football. The midfielder has even taken part in extra, one-on-one training sessions outside of his work at The Knox.

Newcastle United will not sanction loan

According to the Daily Mail, the Magpies will not entertain any loan bids for Bamba this winter. Newcastle believe the £30million man is likely to develop better while training with his new teammates.

As noted, patience is key. Fans will remember the likes of Lewis Hall being eased into life at St James’ Park before becoming a first-team regular.

‘I’m happy’ - Aladji Bamba

Bamba promised to “give his all” for Newcastle following his arrival. He told the club website: “I’m very happy to be here. It’s a new challenge and I can’t wait to get started. I was very excited when I heard Newcastle were interested in signing me.

“I know about the history of the club and I’ve visited the stadium already, which is amazing. I can’t wait to be on the pitch there and hope to have some great times with the fans.

“I’m excited to test myself in a new league, the biggest league in the world. I learned a lot last season and now I feel ready for this new opportunity. I will give my all for this club.”
