Newcastle United trio under Premier League ban threat as midfielder ruled out of Fulham clash
Newcastle United team news: The Magpies have several players walking the disciplinary tightrope.
Newcastle United will be without Jacob Ramsey for Saturday's Premier League trip to Fulham, while three other Magpies players are closing in on the disciplinary suspension threshold.
Matthias Jaissle will be forced into at least one change among his substitutes when Newcastle travel to Craven Cottage this weekend after Ramsey was sent off shortly after coming on in Monday night's 1-0 defeat to Everton at St James' Park.
The midfielder received two yellow cards in quick succession during stoppage time, earning an automatic one-match suspension that will rule him out of Saturday's encounter.

It is the first suspension handed to a Newcastle player this season, with Ramsey also responsible for the club's previous dismissal after receiving two bookings against Manchester United in March.
The former Aston Villa midfielder will be available again when Newcastle return from the international break to face Arsenal at St James' Park.
Jaissle will be hoping to avoid further selection problems as his side attempt to end a run of successive defeats against Everton.
Matias Fernandez-Pardo and Lewis Miley remain fitness doubts after missing Newcastle's last three fixtures, while Tino Livramento and Ewen Jaouen continue their recoveries from knee and hamstring injuries respectively.
Three NUFC stars approaching suspension threshold
While Ramsey is Newcastle's only confirmed suspension absentee for Fulham, Jacob Murphy, Yoane Wissa and Nico Gonzalez are all edging towards potential Premier League bans.
The trio have each accumulated three yellow cards in the opening nine league matches, leaving them just two cautions away from a one-game suspension.
Under Premier League regulations, any player who receives five yellow cards within their club's first 19 league fixtures must serve a one-match ban.
That leaves Murphy, Wissa and Gonzalez needing to avoid two further bookings across Newcastle's next 10 Premier League matches to escape the punishment.
Joelinton, Sven Botman and Fabian Schar have each collected two cautions this season, while Dan Burn, Lewis Hall, Anthony Elanga, Lukas Hornicek, Livramento, Miley and William Osula have all been booked once.
Ramsey also remains on one yellow card, as the two cautions that resulted in his dismissal against Everton are recorded as a red card rather than being added to his accumulated bookings.
Jaissle himself is also one booking away from a touchline ban, having been cautioned twice already this season. Coaching staff shown three yellow cards over the course of the season are served with a one-match touchline ban.
Premier League yellow card suspension rules explained
The Premier League operates several disciplinary thresholds throughout the season.
Players who accumulate five yellow cards during their team's opening 19 league matches receive a one-game suspension, while reaching 10 cautions within the first 32 fixtures results in a two-match ban.
Newcastle midfielder Joelinton was forced to serve the latter punishment last season.
A player who receives 15 yellow cards during a Premier League campaign faces a three-match suspension, although that landmark has never previously been reached in a single season.
Yellow cards collected in domestic cup competitions are counted separately from Premier League bookings, but suspensions arising from red cards can carry across domestic competitions.
For now, Ramsey is the only Newcastle player certain to miss Saturday's trip to Fulham through suspension, although Jaissle will be hoping his squad can avoid further disciplinary setbacks following the international break.
