Matthias Jaissle lets slip Everton decision as Newcastle United boss quizzed on Sean Steur & Bazoumana Toure
Newcastle United travel to Everton in the last 16 of the Carabao Cup on Thursday night.
Matthias Jaissle has told the 7,700 travelling Newcastle United fans not to expect too many changes against Everton on Thursday night.
Jaissle has vowed to go “all in” at the Hill Dickinson Stadium as the Magpies look to advance into the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup for a fifth successive campaign.
United are boosted by their 2-0 win at Crystal Palace in the Premier League on a Sunday, a result that ended a run of two straight defeats, and Jaissle isn’t planning any major changes from that starting line-up.

Newcastle United will go ‘all in’ against Everton
Jaissle’s side face Everton twice in five days, hosting David Moyes’ side at St James’ Park in the Premier League on Monday night.
“Due to the history now from the club in that competition, I have the same approach to play with the best possible line-up,” Jaissle told reporters at his pre-match press conference. “This is clear.
“I heard now we're getting huge support, again, in an away match, really special, during a week having [nearly] 8,000 fans with us, taking the journey to support us.
“That's something which shows the importance about that competition, and we will for sure also be aligned with that and go all in.”
Matthias Jaissle remain tight-lipped on NUFC team selection
Anthony Elanga and Jacob Ramsey both came off the bench at Palace, marking their respective returns after seven weeks out injured.
When asked if the pair could start on Merseyside, Jaissle said: “Again, without picking the starting XI now and telling you, both of them are making progress day by day.
“You see their physicality is getting better and better. When there's the time to start, I will not tell you right now, but the progress is obviously to see.”
Jaissle also remained tight-lipped on selection calls regarding summer signings Sean Steur and Bazoumana Toure, but did let slip that there wouldn’t be too many changes to the XI.
“Yeah, but again, what I mentioned, we take that match really seriously,” Jaissle said. “So you can expect not too many changes.”
