‘Steaming’ Andy Carroll in hot water as stag do photos hit front pages

Andy Carroll’s stag do has hit the headlines after he was snapped next to a woman in Dubai

Former Newcastle United star Andy Carroll has found himself in hot water after images of himself with another woman have found their way onto front pages this morning.

The Gateshead-born star, who most recently turned out for West Bromwich Albion, has been pictured lying on a pillow next to a woman just days before his wedding to Billi Mucklow.

Carroll was partying in Dubai for his stag do and reportedly invited Cove Beach club bar manager Taylor Jane Wilkey and two mates to another venue before heading back for an afterparty.

After the big night, the ex-Magpie collapsed in bed which is when Wilkey snapped the controversial photo - although has now confirmed it was all a bit of fun.

She told The Sun: "It was an afterparty.

"We all went back to his hotel. There was me, Andy and my female friend.

"I didn’t sleep with him, it wasn’t like that, there was three of us in the room.

"It was a full day and night of drinking.

"We’d been at Cove Beach since 12, it was a really boozy day. Andy was steaming, we were all drunk.

"We went back to Andy’s hotel suite and we played some music and he got into bed and passed out.

"I was there with my friend until the early hours and took the photo as a joke.

"My mates back home were goading me for the lowdown so I took that picture for a laugh and sent it to them. Nothing sexual happened. It was just a bit of banter."

Carroll is due to marry The Only Way is Essex star Billi Mucklow this summer.

The couple has had a long-term engagement with the footballer popping the question all the way back in 2014.

The pair have two children of their own and Carroll has two kids from a previous relationship.

The big striker is currently a free agent having been released by West Brom at the end of the season.

He turned out for Newcastle United 117 times over his two stints at the club, scoring 32 goals but always struggling with injury niggles.
