The staggering Premier League prize money Newcastle, Man Utd and Arsenal would earn from top-four finish

Newcastle United aren’t short of money thanks to new investors with deep pockets, but there’s set to be a wad more of cash coming their way this season.

Newcastle United will receive a big prize money pay-off from the Premier League should they maintain their lofty current third-place position come the end of the campaign.

The top flight is one of the most lucrative in the world with huge sums of money being passed around for broadcast and sponsorship deals.

All 20 Premier League clubs get a cut of that money come the end of the season but the total amounts they receive depends on their league position.

Half of the money made in the domestic broadcasting deal is split evenly with each club given around £34.1 million and another 25% is based on facility, meaning the number of times a club is selected to be on UK television. The final 25% is divided out depending on league position.

There's a similar deal in place for international broadcast money.

TalkSport crunched those numbers to produce a prize money table for the Premier League last season. We've applied those numbers to the current standings to see what type of payout each club can expect at the end of this season - although final numbers will depend on which teams have been broadcast on television more than others.
