Newcastle United is set to face Liverpool as they travel to Anfield on Wednesday, August 31 for a midweek Premier League match.

Liverpool is certainly a team to watch after last week’s 9-0 drubbing of Bournemouth, but the Magpies are hoping to end their three-match winless streak with a victory.

The Eddie Howe’s side’s most recent game was a 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers  on Sunday afternoon, thanks to Allan Saint-Maximin’s last-minute equaliser.

However, with Callum Wilson injured and Allan Saint in doubt, it would be difficult for them to face the Reds, who remain unbeaten in 26 home games against Newcastle United since 1994.

The team has also been hampered by the absence of Bruno Guimaraes, who was sidelined during the match against Wolves.

And now, Eddie Howe’s squad are desperately hoping to see the debut of their record signing striker Alexander Isak, who is currently awaiting his work permit.
