When is the Easter bank holiday?

Easter Sunday falls on 17 April this year. There are two bank holidays surrounding Easter, meaning people will be able to enjoy a four day weekend.

Good Friday will fall on 15 April, and Easter Monday will also be a bank holiday, falling on 18 April.

Gibside Easter Egg Hunt

Gibside will be hosting lots of fun Easter activities until Tuesday 19 April.

Its Easter egg hunt trail is open from 10am until 4pm, which is when the last entry is granted. The trail will take approximately between 90 and 120 minutes.

There will be a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg for those who complete the trail.

You don’t need to book for this event. There is an admission charge.

Maze Easter Egg Hunt Tynemouth Park 2022

Price: £12.50 per child, £2.50 per adult

Tynemouth Park will be running Easter egg hunts throughout the whole of half term, until 24 April.

There are set to be a tonne of special guests, including the Easter Bunny themself.

The hunt will run in 30 minute intervals from 9 April to 24 April from 9:30am - 5pm.

Included in the price is Easter egg hunt, Easter egg prize, a meet and greet with special characters and the Easter Bunny and much more.

Easter egg trail at Craigside

Easter fun is just a hop, skip and jump away from you this half term.

Using the map provided kids will be able to explore the great outdoors, and hunt for different activity stations as they journey around the lake.

The event will run from 9 April to 24 April everyday from 11am to 4pm.

Clip n Climb

Price: £10

Take your egg hunts to new heights with Clip n Climb. There are numerous eggs to be found on each of the different climbing walls.

There are multiple sessions available everyday with a special easter offer of £10 per session after 5pm.

Kids Club - Easter Special at Central Park

Price: £5 per ticket

There will be an Easter Special running from 11am - 2pm on Monday 18 April.

The event will include an immersive Peter Rabbit screening with live characters making a special appearance for meet and greets.

There will also be a special easter egg hunt around Central Park with goodies for everyone.
