There are a tonne of events happening across the weekend, whether they are specifically designed for Father’s Day or not.

When is Father’s Day?

Father’s Day falls on the third Sunday of June every year.

This year the day will fall on Sunday 19 June 2022.

What events are happening in Newcastle?

Tynedale Beer Festival

Price: £8.00- 31.60

Celebrate Father’s Day by hitting one of the North East’s biggest beer and cider festivals with your father figure.

Over three days in June there will be the best beers and ciders that the region and the UK have to offer, along with great wine, a gin and rum bar, delicious street food and live music.

This event will run from 2:00 pm on Saturday 17 June – 7:30 pm on 19 June 2022.

Big Fat BBQ - Warehouse Party

Price: £5 - 10

This promises to be a full day of good food, good music and sunshine at the Old Coal Yard in Newcastle.

If you’re looking for a day of good food and dancing with your Dad this is the place for you.

The running order will be as follows:

  • 2pm - 12am - Music all day
  • 2pm - 6pm - Food

There is also an after party at an undisclosed location.

Orchestral Society

Price: £22

Durham University Orchestral Society will be returning to Sage Gateshead for a concert featuring Zemlinsky’s Sinfonietta, before journeying to the studios of Hollywood in Korngold’s Violin Concerto in D major (soloist Jamie Frost) and concluding with Shostakovich’s exhilarating Symphony No.10.

Doors are scheduled to open at 3:30pm.

Feast by the Sea

This fantastic festival by the sea will be returning to our lovely coast just in time for Father’s Day.

It’s your chance to sample some of the best food and drink the North East has to offer, as well as enjoying some live outdoor music in the summer sun.

The festival will run from 11am on Saturday 18 June to 7pm on Sunday 19 June.
