Goodbye Geordie Shore! The emotional last episode

The gang reunited one final time for a Geordie Shore house party.

According to Heat, this current series of Geordie Shore - called Geordie Shore: The Reunion Series will be the last, after a total of 23 series over 11 years. The show has seen various cast members join and leave the show since it first arrived on MTV in 2011.

The finale episode which aired this week showed cast members from different series across the show, return to the infamous Geordie Shore house located in Wallsend. This has come after a reunion party, a holiday to Portugal, and Holly Hagan’s wedding to Jacob Blyth in Ibiza.

The last episode began with the whole gang taking a trip to Whitley Bay for some of Fisherman Bay’s fish and chips. Clips from a trip to Whitley Bay in season one were then shown. Charlotte Crosby, who is an original cast member said: “Whitley Bay to some of this lot might just be a bit of fun and fish and chips, but to me it is so much more.”

The group then returned to the Geordie Shore house to find the place decorated for a house party, with theme being “F**ing Fabulous”. Aaron Chalmers returned for the house party saying: “There is no party like a Geordie Shore house party.”

The show ended on an emotional note, as Holly Hagan-Blyth surprised everyone with a fireworks display. “It kind of sums up Geordie Shore and what it is, because we do go off with a bang,” said Kyle Christie.

Tears were flowing as the cast members watched the fireworks, and reflected on their time on Geordie Shore. Clips from huge moments throughout the show’s 11 years were shown as the cast commented on their Geordie Shore journey. “Seeing how all of our lives have changed has just been magical,” said Sophie.

All previous drama was put to bed, with Charlotte saying through tears: “We have had up and downs along the way but in the end it has actually all worked out “ She continued: “We are finishing this reunion as one big family.”
