South Shields’ Chris Ramsey shares support for long-term friend and fellow comedian

South Shields comedian Chris Ramsey took to Instagram to help support and promote his friend Carl Hutchinson’s upcoming tour.

Chris, hosts the incredibly successful podcast Sh**ged, Married, Annoyed with his wife Rosie Ramsey, where they discuss various (mostly inappropriate) topics, as well as their grievances with each other. Episodes are uploaded every Friday morning.

Outside of the podcasting world, Chris has worked as a comedian for over a decade. His long-time friend Carl Hutchinson, who is also a comedian, usually supports Chris on his stand-up tours around the country.

Chris posted the trailer for Carl’s upcoming 2023 tour onto his Instagram feed. He captioned the post: “The absolute cheek of it! Galavanting on his own tour next year.” He continued: “If you ever saw Carl support me, you know how good he is.”

The post gathered over 7,000 likes and over 100 comments. One comment was from Carl himself, who wrote: “Haha! I’ll miss you.”

Carl Hutchinson is also from Newcastle, and has a similar comedic style to Chris. He currently performs in Newcastle, including at Newcastle Comedy Club - The Stand. He is also a part of the comedy line up for Jason Cook’s Laffs 4 Kids at the O2 City Hall in Newcastle.

His tour will start in Stamford in February 2023, and will end in Harrogate in December 2023. Carl will of course, be performing in his home city of Newcastle at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House. For more information on the tour, please visit here.
