What Nick Woltemade did after Newcastle United's win over Hull City - this is classy
Nick Woltemade continues to show his support for his Newcastle United teammates despite leaving on loan.
Nick Woltemade may be spending the season away from Newcastle United, but that hasn’t stopped him cheering the club on from afar.
Matthias Jaissle’s side have made a positive start to the new Premier League campaign, with Woltemade playing his part before joining Juventus on loan. Just days before the move, the 24-year-old claimed an assist in the 2-0 win away at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Magpies have lost just one of their opening five Premier League matches and head into the three-week international break in good spirits following Saturday’s 2-1 win over Hull City at St James’ Park.

Goals for Joe Willock and Lewis Hall inside the opening seven minutes proved enough to earn United three points. After the match, Woltemade showed his support for both scorers on Instagram.
In response to Hall’s post, captioned “3 points before the break ✅ some atmosphere today Geordies, let’s keep pushing 💪”, Woltemade wrote “yessiirrr”.
Woltemade then commented “proud brotha” to Willock, who replied “miss u brother”.
To Willock’s point, there is still every chance Woltemade will be back on Tyneside next summer as there is no obligation or option to buy at the end of his season-long loan agreement.
But Willock too has an uncertain future, with his current contract due to expire in June.
Nick Woltemade’s start to life at Juventus
Jaissle is keeping a close eye on Woltemade’s time at Juventus and will have seen that the German scored his first goal in the 5-0 Europa League win over Dutch side NEC Nijmegen on Thursday night.
But as far Serie A goes, Woltemade is still awaiting his full debut, with all three of his appearances so far coming as a substitute.
“I really, really appreciate Nick,” Jaissle said. “As a player, for his quality on the pitch, but also I appreciate him as a human being and his quality off the pitch.
“We had always good conversations, really honest conversations, and he decided now to take another challenge in a top league as well, with a top club, and we will be monitoring him and looking and seeing him quite closely.
“I'm really curious how he's doing and I'm really optimistic that he will shine there. He will score a lot of goals there for sure, and he's still our player, so therefore we will for sure stay in close contact.”
