‘Until the end’: Bruno Guimaraes teases future after ‘demanding’ Newcastle United season

Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes is gearing up for a major life event in the coming weeks and has taken to social media to share his excitement.

Guimaraes immediately travelled back to Brazil alongside his family at the end of the season ahead of his wedding which has been teased for some time, often opening up about how important his partner Ana Lidia Martins to his life and career.

The pair were officially married last month by proxy while they were still in Newcastle, however a bigger celebration is imminent with Joelinton set to be Guimaraes’ best man.

Posting to his Instagram story, Guimaraes shared a video of him and Ana with the caption: “May we walk in one direction all the days of our lives! Grateful to be yours and you are mine. I love you and I will love you until the end! The big day is coming.”

It is thanks to Ana United fans are confident the Brazilian will be staying at the club for the foreseeable, amid rumours of interest from Barcelona and Liverpool.

Following Newcastle’s final home game of the season, Ana solidified how happy the family were in the city: “We’re in the Champions!!! Happiness, pride, immeasurable admiration for this team and, for you, my love @brunoguimaraes!

“I saw closely the sleepless nights, the anxiety, the hard work, the delivery, the frustrations. In this place we lived the best moments of our lives, and this achievement came to crown the blessing that being here was for our family.”

Guimaraes also posted to Instagram following the end of the season, voicing the pain and struggles he’s experienced.

“Pain, blows, injuries and mental fatigue. This may have been my most physically and mentally demanding season,” he posted on Instagram.

“I’ve gone through a lot of adversity and learned to know my body in a way that I had not yet understood! Facing many battles with myself and my head about want and power!

“Thank God today I can say everything went well A season of much learning and knowledge closes for a new cycle that is about to begin. Accomplished by going over all barriers and most importantly with duty accomplished! This is so priceless! Let’s go forward and soon more challenges ahead.”

The extended break seems to have come at the best time for the Brazilian and with his wedding on the horizon let’s hope he returns to Newcastle recharged and refreshed.
