Gentoo Homes has announced the opening of two show properties at its new Scholars’ Gardens development.

Gentoo has launched two show properties at its new Scholars’ Gardens development in the Chapel Park area of Newcastle.

The 99-home development will be made up of a range of three, four and five-bedroom homes, as well as spacious two-bedroom bungalows.

The housing group has revealed that the first properties on the development will be ready to move into in 2025.

Gentoo has confirmed that the show homes will officially open to members of the public at 10am on Saturday, December 14.

Leanne Thompson, head of sales and customer experience at Gentoo Homes, has expressed her excitement at being able to welcome prospective home buyers to the development.

She said: “I am very excited and proud to bring our product and show homes to the market at Scholars’ Gardens.

“Gentoo Homes want shape the future and enable everyone to have access to a home, and I believe we have created a diverse development of homes for all.

“We look forward to welcoming people to visit the show homes from 10am on Saturday, December 14.”

The show properties at the development will include:

  • The Marlborough: A five-bedroom family home that has been designed to create a calm and sophisticated residence. Gentoo has decorated the property to include fumed oak, ivory and sage tones, as well as warm LED lights to make the space feel cozy and comforting.
  • The Johnstone: A four-bedroom home that has been designed to have a dramatic, executive home that has been decorated with deep rich cherry tones and charcoal walls. The housing group states that it sees owners of this house as professionals with both young and grown-up families.

All properties at the Scholars’ Gardens development will include a range of energy-efficient features, such as PV solar panels and electric vehicle charging points.

Gentoo states that the mix of house types will make the development perfect for first-time buyers, downsizers, or those looking to upgrade to their forever home.

Scholars’ Gardens will also appeal for those who desire to live within easy reach of Newcastle city centre, whilst also being located close to an array of local shops, a community centre, golf club, and a number of good schools.

It also has great public transport links and is based close to the A1.
