MTV’s Geordie Shore aired its first season in 2011, focusing on a group of young adults in Newcastle living the party lifestyle.  The reality TV series became an overnight sensation, catapulting the celebrities into a super stardom.

The show has since gone on to have 23 series in total, with various cast changes along the way. The most recent series was a reunion special named Geordie Shore: The Reunion Series, which saw cast members across the previous 22 series reunite with each other on the show.

Although all Geordie Shore cast members were invited to the reunion, and most decided to join (with a few exceptions) a few of them had previously been axed from appearing on the show for many different reasons. Here is every single main cast member who has been axed from the show and the reasons why.

Sophie Kasaei

Original cast member Sophie was axed from Geordie Shore in 2013, after using a racial slur off camera on a Geordie Shore night out. However she was allowed to return to the show for the Big Birthday Battle series in 2016, and remained as a main cast member until 2019. Sophie returned for the Geordie Shore reunion series.

Vicky Pattison

Vicky was temporarily removed from the Geordie Shore house due to a fight with a member of the public on a Geordie Shore night out. Vicky has since spoken out on the incident, expressing regret and remorse. Vicky returned to the show for the following series, announcing that it would be her last. Vicky has never returned to Geordie Shore.

Ricci Guarnaccio

Ricci, who first appeared in series two starred on the show for four series before being axed from the show. Ricci was asked not to return after he and fellow co-star Vicky broke off their engagement.

Marty McKenna

Marty joined the cast of Geordie Shore in 2016, before being axed from the show after three series. The star was axed due to drug-related issues. Marty returned to the show in 2021 and also appeared in the reunion series, however it was revealed that he had  been axed once again.

Abbie Holborn

Abbie joined Geordie Shore in 2016 and stayed on the show for two series before being asked not to return for no particular reason or wrongdoing. Abbie returned to the show in 2019 and remained on the show up until the most recent reunion series, however she was axed from the show once again.

Sam Gowland

Sam, who originally found fame on the third series of Love Island joined the cast of Geordie Shore in 2018. However, after he and fellow co-star Chloe Ferry called time on their relationship, Gowland was asked not to return to the show.

The Sun reported that in the new series of Geordie Shore: The Reunion Series which is yet to be filmed, not all of the cast members who appeared in the previous series will be returning.
